QUENCH BRITE MARQUENCHING OIL is a martempering oil with medium quenching speed throughout its working range. It is used for tempering and martempering at temperatures up to 375°F (190°C), especially for distortion-prone parts of case hardened or through hardened steels. The higher viscosity of Quench Brite Marquenching oil can help further reduce distortion during quenching compared to Marquench Oil M. You can use MARQUENCH OIL M with confidence. Your parts will achieve maximum oil quenched hardness with minimum distortion or cracking. Lastly, MARQUENCH OIL M will produce exceptionally clean, bright work when used within its recommended temperature range.

• A martempering oil designed specifically for tempering and martempering at temperatures up to 375°F (190°C). It is ideal for use with distortion-prone parts of case-hardened or through-hardened steels. The oil is characterized by a medium quenching speed, which helps minimize distortion and cracking during the quenching process.
• Has a higher viscosity (120-140 cSt at 100°F), which aids in reducing distortion during quenching. This characteristic viscosity contributes to its effectiveness in providing uniform hardness and minimal part deformation. Additionally, the oil includes an anti-oxidation agent to ensure stability and prevent degradation during use.
• Can achieve a maximum cooling rate of 150°F/sec (83°C/sec) according to ASTM D6200 standards. It also has a very high flash point (>485°F or 252°C), which enhances its safety by reducing the risk of fire during high-temperature operations.
• May require centrifuging or filtering to manage sediment levels, ensuring consistent performance. Specific procedures like de-gassing at 350°F with agitation under a protective atmosphere are recommended to remove furnace atmosphere contamination and prevent flash point reduction.
